Welcome to HooHacks, the 8th annual, premier hackathon at the University of Virginia! Due to COVID-19, HooHacks will be virtual. You will have 24 hours (starting on March 27th at 12 PM and ending on March 28th at 12 PM) to ideate, construct, and showcase the product you build from scratch along with other developers, engineers, and designers. Learn. Build. Achieve.



All current undergraduate, graduate, and high school students at least 16 years of age may attend HooHacks. No coding experience is necessary! Non-STEM majors, first-time hackers, and beginner coders are welcomed and encouraged to join us! Teams should be no more than 4 people.


Only submit to 1 prize track category. You may submit to any number of sponsor prizes, but you must describe why you are eligible.
